The city has plenty of cultural and natural surroundings with 700 years of history. Its population is 37,000. It is historically famous for its silver mine, but agricultural business has been responsible for its growth since Paesan (Tayeeshoho year 12). Ohda is famous for Sekisuwoo tiling, since it supports a roof tiling business, but its business activity is weak. The city was influenced by the Baekje Dynasty in its development in the past, and its Chinese city name is the same as Daejeon's.
