As the Central District of Korea, the Valley is destined to become a self-sufficient complex town which will harmonize the environment, industries, commercial activities, supply chains, recreation and leisure facilities, and a residential district.
It is located 150 km south of Seoul, 1 km from the Shintanjin IC on the Gyungbu Highway, 500 m from the Deodeok Valley IC (which is in the northern part of Daejeon) on the Honam Highway, and within 20 minutes of the general railroad system |

| The type of high-techno industries being promoted include: Electric and Electronic, IT, Precision Instruments, New Official Fixtures, New Materials and Bio-Engineering, Optical and Medical Instruments, Knowledge Management and Services, as well as other related industries. |
| Daejeon is promoting the building of an information exchange center, an accessible techno-mart, a high frequency parts(accessories)support center, an intellectual robot industry center, a high techno industry facility and a nano-technique practical center to attract intelligence-based industries and to take charge of the support-function of bencher facilities. Daejeon Customs Office will operate this synthetically bonded district and give holistic support through importation, exportation and customs duties. |
